With all the new prodcuts and trends, it can be overwhelming to know what to buy for your personal makeup kit. I like to keep it simple and use as few products as possible. With a few key products, your makeup can look fresh and last all day. Here are my top picks!
Concealer
One thing I cannot live without is a good concealer. There are a ton of options but I love a hydrating concealer as it doesn't settle in fine lines as much. If you are looking for more coverage, let the concealer sit for a minute and dry down. Then gently blend it out with a brush or sponge.
Blush
I have to admit it, I have blush blindness and I don't plan on changing it! A little blush brings you back to life. It adds that fresh and youthful look to your glam. Especially on those dark mornings when it is tough to get out of bed. Try to find a blush colour that compliments your skin (and don't buy it just because it is viral). For my olive skin, I love a peach blush. But I love to play around with different tones depending on my mood! Blush is the first product to fade so make sure you are layering and add a touch more!
Powder
If you want your makeup to last all day and night, you need to add a powder to your routine! I always set my makeup with a pressed powder. It creates that airbrush look and sets your makeup. If you want an extra layer of coverage or more of a glam look, you can use a loose powder. I personally love working with both!
Mascara
Mascara is an easy way to make your eyes pop! I always curl my lashes and add 2-3 coats of mascara. This will build the lashes to make them look fuller and longer. If you wiggle the wand at the base of your lash, you can create a faux eyeliner look and a more defined eye. Looking for a more natural look? Try a brown mascara instead of black!
Tinted Brow Gel
Do not underestimate the power of the brow! Ideally, I would recommend a brow pencil and gel. For a quick everyday look, use a tinted brow gel to create volume and lock your brows in place.
